Olli Santalahti is 22-years old Finnish professional MMA Fighter from Turku, Finland. Olli has an extensive background in different martial arts. He started training judo already at the age of 10. Soon after followed karate and jiu-jitsu. Olli has trained MMA since 2008 and his association is FinnFightersGym. After his 30th amateur victory Olli decided that it is time to go professional.
Since he decided to focus on his MMA career Olli carried on with his old disciplines. As a Fighter and a person Olli is constantly trying to improve himself. Olli believes that to succeed he must be a well-rounded and balanced Fighter. When asked what differentiates the Fighters when the fighting gets serious, Olli said that he puts his trust in the holy trinity of hard training, nutrition and sleep — without forgetting the importance of having good fellow Fighters to train with.
Olli says that he draws his motivation from his background. He has been around different combat sports most of his life and they are a huge part of Olli’s identity. At the age of thirteen he had already decided that he is going to fight in the octagon.
Just before entering the octagon Olli feels a certain confident. He knows what he is doing, he is prepared to everything and he comprehends that “anything” can take place. Those who know Olli has not been surprised that Olli has won four fights in a row in the first round.
His is driven by the desire to proof most of all to himself that he can reach and compete in an international level. Olli has stated that his ultimate goal is to be the first Finnish in his weight class to make it into the international MMA circuit.
